Black Female Challenge

This full-day conference connects young women to female leaders in a variety of career fields, providing an avenue for conducting informational interviews and networking.

Young Entrepreneur Leadership Institute 

This week-long institute focuses on philanthropy, business ownership, resume building, and business pitching. Business owners speak to our students about the process of launching a business and give them tools to create a business plan (including picking a business name, designing a logo, creating a mission statement). Students then make and pitch their business plan to potential funders for sponsorship.

Black Male Challenge

This full-day leadership conference empowers students to push beyond personal challenges so they can excel as leaders in the school and the community. It also provides a venue for students to voice their concerns and generate recommendations on how to support each other and improve their experience in school.

Date: January 12, 2018 for David Douglas High School and Centennial School District, March 2, 2018 for Beaverton School District and Portland Public Schools
